Mouli - Moli - Kalawa - Kalava - Nadachadi - Indian Religious Coloured Thread
Mouli or Kalava is an important part of pujan samagri. Mouli offered to the gods is later given along with 'prasadam' (temple food) to be worn by people on their hands who visit the temple. Girls tie Mouli to their brothers on Rakha Bhandan for "mangalkamna". In marriage ceremony, mouli is considered to tie the married couple with each other. Today Mouli is also worn by people on their hand as fashion and dharmik Astha.
